Abstract

Expression of concern for ‘Water-soluble pyridine-based colorimetric chemosensor for naked eye detection of silver ions: design, synthesis, spectral and theoretical investigation’ by B. Annaraj and M. A. Neelakantan, Anal. Methods, 2014, 6, 9610–9615, https://doi.org/10.1039/C4AY01592D.

The Royal Society of Chemistry is publishing this expression of concern in order to alert readers that concerns have been raised regarding the integrity of the NMR data in the ESI, and the UV-vis absorption spectra in Fig. 3. The authors have not provided the raw data for the NMR on request. An expression of concern will continue to be associated with the article until we receive conclusive evidence regarding the reliability of the reported data.
