Abstract
The reaction between atomic oxygen and acrylonitrile (a ubiquitous species in space and in combustion environments) has been investigated under single collision conditions. Intersystem crossing was seen to dominate the reaction.

Abstract
The photochemical reactions of phosphabutyne were studied in an argon matrix using infrared spectroscopy. Upon UV irradiation, the molecule underwent transformations, leading to the formation of several unsaturated phosphorus-containing compounds.
