This comprehensive review delves into the recent advancements in magnetic catalyst technology, mainly focusing on their application in facilitating greener and more efficient synthetic routes for imidazole derivatives.
Here, synthesis of substituted imidazoles from benzil, protected carbonyl and NH4OAc/primary amine in the presence of a FeCl3/SiO2 catalyst is reported. The photophysical property of the synthesized imidazole–carbazole hybrid is also investigated.
Herein, we report acid/base-controlled and divergent deuteration of N-unsubstituted imidazoles in an imidazole-selective manner.
Preparation of many kinds of N-, O-, and S-heterocycles from aryl/alkyl alkynyl aldehydes were investigated in recent years. In this review, the synthesis of bioactive heterocycles using by substituted alkynyl aldehydes is highlighted.
A silver-functionalized covalent organic framework, Ag@TzTPT-COF, is effectively designed for the hydrogenation of hazardous environmental contaminants, namely, nitroaromatic compounds (NACs), and synthesis of substituted imidazoles.
