Herein, the chemical synthesis of new thiazole-based benzenesulfonamide-linked morpholine 4a,b–7via late-stage thiazolation of the corresponding thiosemicarbazone 3 is reported.
Different synthetic strategies towards possibly photoswitchable bis-zirconocenes are discussed. UV-vis spectroscopic and olefin polymerization reactivity studies are described.
The three biphenylenodithiophene compounds (C8-B1-BPDT, C8-B2-BPDT, C8-L-BPDT) were synthesized as a new π-core system. C8-B1-BPDT adopted a layer-by-layer structure to show a mobility of 0.58 cm2 V−1 s−1 by drop casting method.

Two new corrosion inhibitors were synthesized and applied to steel in 1.0 M HCl. The corrosion resistance was probed by electrochemical and theoretical methods. The study reveals significant intersections between electrochemical aspects and theory.
