Abstract

Reaction of an activated bis(pyrrolyl)ferrocene with 2,2′-(ethylenedioxy)bis(ethylamine) under standard amide-forming conditions gives rise to a novel ansa-ferrocene system that acts as a redox-based sensor for F and H2PO4 anions.
