Ultrasensitive ELISA+ enhanced by dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles

Abstract

An ultrasensitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA+) has been developed by using dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles (DMSNs) with high horseradish peroxidase (HRP) loading and easily accessible pore channels for signal amplification. A 2000 times enhancement of detection sensitivity compared to a commercial ELISA kit for insulin detection in serum is achieved.
