Carbon-rich macrocycles and carbon nanoribbons as unique optical materials

Abstract

Carbon-rich macrocycles and carbon nanoribbons are considered as the combination of carbon rich molecular materials and supramolecular macrocycle hosts. They can act as unique optical material candidate choices in the free form or when combined with other guests. Further application systems, such as 4D coding and reversable switches, could be achieved.
