Diaryllead(ii) species stabilized by C,O-chelating ligands

Abstract

A new family of C,O-chelating aryl ligands, 2-(ROCH2)C6H4, R = Me, iPr, tBu, was successfully introduced to the low-valent organolead chemistry. Two homoleptic plumbylenes were obtained using a straightforward protocol. The corresponding hexaaryldiplumbanes were also reported.
