Thermoelectric performance of Cu1−xδAgxInTe2 diamond-like materials with a pseudocubic crystal structure

In a tetragonal chalcopyrite solid solution Cu1−xAgxInTe2 (x = 0–0.5), a pseudocubic structure is realized at x ≈ 0.2. The degenerate valence bands influence electrical transport and lattice thermal conductivity. The highest ZT of 1.24 was obtained at x = 0.2 and δ = 0.05.

Solid solution Pb1−xEuxTe: constitution and thermoelectric behavior

The thermoelectric properties of polycrystalline materials on the basis of the solid solution Pb1−xEuxTe prepared by spark-plasma-sintering are characterized. The solid solution undergoes a metal–semiconductor transition in parallel to the p–n transition around 500 K.

ZIF-derived in situ nitrogen decorated porous carbons for CO2 capture

A new group of N-doped hierarchical porous carbons with high surface areas, CO2 capacities and CO2/N2 selectivity was prepared using a new mixed-ligand ZIF (JUC-160) as a precursor. The control of the size of JUC-160 crystals from nanometre and micron sizes allowed to study systematically the effect of the parent MOF's crystal size on the derived porous carbon materials.

This special collection of articles features the outstanding researches in inorganic chemistry and organometallic chemistry that are developed under international collaboration between the Chinese and European chemical communities.

We thank all the 177 authors, coming from the 67 institutions of 15 countries, for their great contributions to this themed collection.  Their exciting research achievements are reflective of the richness of scientific and innovation interconnection between China and the Europe.
