The freezing–thawing stages required to obtain water of the desired concentration from seawater and brine were determined experimentally using a rectangular channel crystallizer. It facilitates a PFC-based desalination process.
Combining cooling and antisolvent modes of crystallization is advantageous as it may significantly improve the process performance.
Research progress and potential trends about six critical chiral resolution methods are summarized. Notable performance improvements based on the state-of-the-art “coupling” strategies are highlighted.
Continuous production of the 1 : 1 acetazolamide (ACZ) : p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) cocrystal was achieved via cooling cocrystallization in a tubular slug flow crystallizer, under conditions mimicking batch cooling crystallization.
Understanding of primary nucleation is still poor. This is due to lack of a rate estimation method. This work proposes a new method determining the rate from nucleation time distributions Pr(t), leading to better understanding of primary nucleation.
