The proton conduction properties of iHOF-8 and its Nafion-based composite membrane were investigated and the results proved to be of potential value in DMFCs.
The latest progress of proton-conductive HOFs in terms of preparation, structural characteristics, proton conductivity, and proton-conducting mechanism are presented. The future trends and design ideas are also highlighted and prospected.
In this study, two polymorphic iHOFs (iHOF-64/65) were synthesized. Due to decreased conjugation degree and reduced internal polarity regulated by the DMA solvent, iHOF-65 exhibited a 100 times fluorescence enhancement compared to iHOF-64.
In this study, we show that iHOF-24 and iHOF-25 exhibit high ionic conductivity for alkali metal ions. At 30 °C, the Li+ conductivities of iHOF-24 and iHOF-25 were 9.44 × 10−5 and 9.85 × 10−5 S cm−1, which is higher than that of Na+ and K+.
This review provides a comprehensive overview of the fabrication strategies and applications of hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks in membrane separation.
