Bromide-catalyzed electrochemical trifluoromethylation/cyclization of N-arylacrylamides with low catalyst loading

Abstract

The electrochemical trifluoromethylarylation of N-arylacrylamides catalyzed by bromide is described. The synthetic utility of this methodology is demonstrated by transition metal-free and external oxidant-free conditions, and low catalyst loading.
