A novel 16-hydroxy-palmitic acid tethered d-configured homo-chiral triphenylalanine based nanofibrillar scaffold with innate anticancer potential

Abstract

A homochiral triphenylalanine system when tethered to 16-hydroxy-palmitic acid at the N-terminus displays excellent gelation propensity with mechanoresponsiveness and innate anticancer potential. We anticipate that the amphiphile–lactate derivative compound VI plays a pivotal role in addressing the cancer related challenges probably via an extrinsic apoptotic pathway.
