4-Phenylthiazole-based metalacycles were synthesized, characterized and examined for their anticancer potential. Preliminary mode of action studies to reveal the cellular target of these complexes were performed.
APE1 complexed with an abasic site in G-quadruplex (G4) topologies displays differences in binding constants, enzyme cleavage yields, and gene regulation. APE1 tightly binds parallel G4s to regulate transcription that is not found with hybrid G4s.
Novel DNA binding half Salphen cobalt(III)complexes with promising anticancer activity on 3D cultured models.
RNA G-quadruplexes (rG4s) play crucial roles in fundamental biological processes. We report a novel pulldown assay for rG4s using an L-Apt.4-1c aptamer and compare its performance with the BioTASQ v.1 ligand.
This review article highlights the scope and utility of nucleic acid templated synthetic strategies for the development of potential and therapeutically relevant drug candidates.
