Counteranion-directed structural consequences in silver–adenine N-oxide complexes

Abstract

Crystallographic investigations of N9-propyladenine N1-oxide silver complexes, having different counteranions, are reported. While hydrogen bonded 1D polymeric chains were observed in case of NO3 (1) and BF4 (2); PF6 (3) and OTf (4) afforded six membered metallacycles; and ClO4 (5) resulted in coordination polymers comprising of quartet of dimeric assemblies.
