2-Lithio-2-(trimethylsilyl)-1,3-clithiane reacts with tosyl azide to give transient 2-diazo-1,3-dithiane whose reactivity towards various alkenes and alkynes is examined; an X-ray crystallographic analysis of a new bis(ketene-dithioacetal) adduct is reported.
