Synthesis of an exfoliated kaolinite–poly(urea–formaldehyde) nanocomposite

Abstract

Kaolinite–poly(urea–formaldehyde) nanocomposite was successfully prepared under ambient conditions, by simply immersing kaolinite-urea complex in formaldehyde. A self-healing behavior is observed for the polymer within the nanocomposite.
