Organoplatinum-bridged conjugated polymeric photosensitizer with donor-acceptor structure for enhanced photodynamic efficiency and integrated tumour therapy

Abstract

A conjugated polymer P1 with organoplatinum-bridged BODIPYfluorene structure is developed for synergistic photodynamic, photothermal and chemotherapy. P1 nanoparticles exhibit strong NIR absorption, enhanced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and high photothermal conversion, demonstrating superior antitumour efficacy under NIR irradiation. This work highlights the great potential of conjugated polymerphotosensitizer hybrids with built-in chemotherapeutic modules as a new paradigm for combinatorial tumour treatment.
