About this collection
Coinage metals comprise mundane, earth abundant copper to truly precious silver and gold. Whereas the organometallic chemistry of copper was one the first to make an impact in organic synthesis, by comparison, silver and gold are newcomers in the field, although in the case of gold there has been an outburst of activity in the last few years. Guest edited by Antonio Echavarren, Ning Jiao and Vladimir Gevorgyan, this themed issue will focus on the most recent applications of these three coinage metals as catalysts in organic synthesis and asymmetric catalysis. New articles will be added to this collection as they are published.
