Phenothiazine appended thiophene derivative: a trilateral approach to copper ion detection in living cells and aqueous samples

A novel phenothiazine-thiophene acetonitrile compound was synthesised through a Knoevenagel condensation reaction. The compound demonstrated selectivity towards Cu2+ and proved to have low cytotoxicity.

Machine learning guided tuning charge distribution by composition in MOFs for oxygen evolution reaction

We utilize machine learning (ML) to accelerate the synthesis of MOFs, starting by building a library of over 900 MOFs with different metal salts, solvent ratios and reaction tine, and then utilizing zeta potentials as target variables for ML training.

Heterocyclic (pyrazine)carboxamide Ru(II) complexes: structural, experimental and theoretical studies of interactions with biomolecules and cytotoxicity

The heterocyclic (pyrazine)carboxamide Ru(II) complexes interact with CT-DNA through minor groove binding and partial intercalation modes and exhibit significant cytotoxicity and selectivity against A549, PC-3, and Caco-2 cell lines.

Accurate assembly of thiophene-bridged titanium-oxo clusters with photocatalytic amine oxidation activity

We synthesized a crystalline dumbbell-shaped Ti10, which effectively enhances charge transfer. As a result, it exhibits remarkably high conversion activity and selectivity in the photocatalytic oxidative coupling reaction of benzylamine.

Adsorption mechanism of Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe3+, and Al3+ ions in phosphoric acid–nitric acid solution on 001 × 7 and S957 resins

Under the influence of dihydrogen phosphate ions, Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions are adsorbed on the 001 × 7 resin through a sulfonic acid group, whereas Fe3+ and Al3+ ions are adsorbed on the S957 resin through a phosphonic acid group.

Highly electron-deficient 1-propyl-3,5-dinitropyridinium: evaluation of electron-accepting ability and application as an oxidative quencher for metal complexes

The antibacterial activity of three zeolitic-imidazolate frameworks and zinc oxide nanoparticles derived from them

ZIF-4, ZIF-7 and ZIF-8 were synthesized and their antibacterial activity was evaluated. ZIF-8 showed the highest antibacterial property among the three types of MOFs and zinc oxide materials derived from them.
