The UV-crosslinkable benzophenone (BP) “bio-glue” efficiently crosslinks with various surfaces and biomolecules. The beauty of this bio-glue lies in its simplicity and broad applicability, requiring no sophisticated equipment or reaction conditions.

The conjugates of 5′-deoxy-5-fluorocytidine and hydroxycinnamic acids – synthesis, anti-pancreatic cancer activity and molecular docking studies

New conjugates 1–6 containing 5-dFCR and selected hydroxycinnamic acids were synthesized and tested in vitro against pancreatic cancer (PDAC) lines. The ADME properties and molecular docking to CES2 or human albumin were discussed.

Anticancer potential of novel symmetrical and asymmetrical dihydropyridines against breast cancer via EGFR inhibition: molecular design, synthesis, analysis and screening

Our study introduces novel symmetrical and asymmetrical dihydropyridines as breast cancer inhibitors, showing cytotoxicity against MCF-7 cells and EGFR kinase inhibition. Molecular docking and dynamics validate superior binding to Lapatinib.

A novel fluorescence probe for simultaneous detection of mitochondrial viscosity in hepatic ischemia reperfusion injury models

A versatile probe with mitochondria targeting, PN, for detection of viscosity alteration in HIRI mouse model was fabricated. PN had high sensitivity and selectivity, and with a large Stokes shift (∼190 nm) for viscosity. PN is expected to be used for early diagnosis and treatment assessment of HIRI disease, and also provides diagnostic basis for other related diseases.

Preparation of a novel antibacterial magnesium carbonate coating on a titanium surface and its in vitro biocompatibility

We report deposition of a MgCO3 coating on titanium surfaces using a hydrothermal method, followed by hydrogen peroxide treatment. The coating demonstrated antibacterial properties and enhanced osteogenic differentiation of BMSC.
