About this collection

Asymmetric catalysis has remained at the forefront of organic synthesis since its inception more than half a century ago. Metals, especially transition metals, played an important role in shaping this research field in its infancy. Notwithstanding the tremendous growth in other areas of asymmetric catalysis, metal catalysis continues to deliver unprecedented transformations.

This Themed Collection on Metals in Asymmetric Catalysis, Guest Edited by Steve Malcolmson (Duke University, USA), Santanu Mukherjee (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India), Uttam Tambar (University of Texas Southwestern, USA) and Yong Tang (Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, China), comprises of recent developments in the areas of enantioselective catalysis proceeding through the involvement of transition metal complexes.
