Ferrocene carboxylic acid-doped copper MOFs as a nanozyme with high peroxidase-mimicking activity for catalytic dye degradation†
Abstract
A ferrocene carboxylic acid (Fc)-doped copper–p-phthalic acid metal–organic framework material (Fc–Cu PTA) exhibited remarkably high peroxidase-mimicking activity, while Cu PTA showed nearly no peroxidase-mimicking activity. Under the enzymatic catalysis of Fc–Cu PTA as a peroxidase-mimicking nanozyme, the tested organic dyes were rapidly degraded by peroxymonosulfate. Fc–Cu PTA could be an effective catalyst for the degradation treatment of dye-polluted water and soil sources, and potentially for other peroxidase-related applications as well.
