A gas-thermal method as a universal and convenient strategy for preparing non-traditional luminescent polymers with enhanced and red-shifted fluorescence

Abstract

We summarize and propose a “gas-thermal method” for preparing non-traditional luminescent polymers (NLPs) with enhanced and red-shifted fluorescence emissions by heating existing polymers in different gas atmospheres. This study provides a new idea and method for the preparation of NLPs and establishes a solid foundation for their wide applications.
