Synergistic zinc catalyst mediated oxa-Michael kinetic resolution reaction

Abstract

A synergistic zinc catalyst is disclosed on the basis of the development of new chiral ligands. This synergistic zinc catalytic system is an ideal platform for a designed intramolecular oxa-Michael kinetic resolution reaction of alcohols. The scope for this oxa-Michael KR process is extended under mild conditions. The obtained polycyclic adducts can be used for different cross-coupling pathways. Moreover, nonlinear effect studies reveal the true active catalytic species of the current reaction.
