MnOx–CeO2@TiO2 core–shell composites for low temperature SCR of NOx
Abstract
In this study, a MnOx–CeO2@TiO2 catalyst for NH3-SCR of NOx at low temperature was successfully prepared. TiO2 was distributed on the MnOx–CeO2 nanorod surface to form the core–shell structure. MnOx–CeO2@TiO2 had excellent catalytic performance and SO2 resistance. Characterization results indicated that the excellent catalytic performance of MnOx–CeO2@TiO2 could be mainly attributed to the large specific surface area, the presence of oxygen vacancies, the strong redox ability and the abundant acidic sites. Moreover, the catalytic active sites of MnOx–CeO2@TiO2 could be protected from SO2 poisoning due to the existence of the TiO2 shell. MnOx–CeO2@TiO2 was proven to be an excellent low temperature SCR catalyst.
