A spring-connected nanogenerator based on ZnO nanoparticles and a multiwall carbon nanotube†
Abstract
A spring-connected nanogenerator (NG) based on zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) and a multiwall carbon nanotube (MW-CNT) is presented. In this structure, two flexible layers are combined by four springs while the flexible layers are achieved by uniform mixing of ZnO NPs, MW-CNT in the polydimethylsiloxane. Serial tests illustrate that voltage and power density generated by this device reach up to 9 V and 27 μW per cycle respectively. This state-of-the-art NG with high performance could open wide applications in self-power systems and energy harvesting.
