Ionic-passivated FeS2 photocapacitors for energy conversion and storage

Abstract

A solid-state photocapacitor is prepared, utilizing iron pyrite (FeS2) as both the photoactive material and blocking electrode, which exhibits a high performance near-infrared (NIR) photodetectivity of 1.6 × 1011 Jones, an energy density of 1.13 × 104 J g−1 and a specific capacitance of 37.5 mA h g−1 directly charged by sunlight.
