Maleimide-functionalised organoruthenium anticancer agents and their binding to thiol-containing biomolecules

Abstract

RuII(arene) anticancer compounds with maleimide functionality were prepared to allow selective interaction with thiol-containing biomolecules and thereby enforcing the selective delivery of the compounds to the tumour.
