Recent progress of n-type organic semiconducting small molecules for organic field-effect transistors
Abstract
Substantial improvement of n-channel organic semiconductors has been realized after the research focus turned from hole transporting (p-type) organic semiconductors to electron-transporting (n-type) and ambipolar-transporting organic semiconductors. In this review, several novel n-type semiconducting small molecules, as well as promising developments of traditional systems, which were reported to exhibit high electron-transport performance in the last three years will be summarized.
