A metal–organic framework made of an asymmetric 1,2,4-triazole and tetrazole ligand

Abstract

Reaction of the asymmetric ligand, 1-[3′-(1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)propyl]tetrazole (L) with Cu(BF4)2 in water leads to the CuII metal–organic framework [CuL(OH)]BF4 (I). According to X-ray analysis, L connects four CuII ions, where the 1,2,4-triazole and tetrazole units exhibit a bridging bis-monodentate μ2-N1,N2 and a unique μ2-N2,N3 coordination modes, respectively.
