Efficient [bis(imino)pyridine-iron]-catalyzed oxidation of alkanes

Abstract

A [bis(imino)pyridine-iron(II)] complex efficiently catalyses the oxidation of Csp3–H bonds by dihydrogen peroxide, through the attack of the alkyl substrate by hydroxyl radicals.
