Successful statistical copolymerization of an α-olefin (1-octene) with an acrylate (butyl acrylate, BA) and with a methacrylate (methyl methacrylate, MMA), employing reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) mediated polymerization has been accomplished
