A gadolinium cryptate with two coordinated water molecules

Abstract

An X-ray crystallographic structure determination of the nitrate salt of the gadolinium imBT cryptate shows coordination of two water molecules; NMRD relaxometry of this cryptate reveals a relaxivity of 5.8 mM–1 s–1 (at 10 MHz, 298 K and pH 6), which is pH sensitive over the range 4–9.
