Supramolecular assembly of low-dimensional silver(I) architectures via amide–amide hydrogen bonds

Abstract

The ligand nicotinamide (L) is used to propagate the linear coordination geometry of AgL2 into 1-D and 2-D assemblies via a combination of coordinate covalent bonds and specific intermolecular hydrogen-bond interactions; the precise nature of the resulting lamellar structures are also influenced by the nature of the counterion.
