10,10′,10″-(Benzene-1,3,5-triyl)triphenothiazine trication

Abstract

10,10′,10″-(Benzene-1,3,5-triyl)triphenothiazine trication has been prepared and its ground and nearby excited states were identified by use of EPR and EPTN techniques, showing that this species is in a doublet ground state with the doublet-quartet energy gap of ca. 3.8 × 102 J mol-1.
