1H NMR of hydrogen chemisorbed on silica-supported platinum particles: an evaluation of different models
Abstract
Two different models which have been used to explain the observed dependence on hydrogen coverage of the frequency on the 1H NMR signal arising from adsorbed hydrogen in the Pt/SiO2+ H2 system are critically reviewed. New experimental data are presented which, together with previously published measurements, provide unambiguous support for the fast-exchange, reversible adsorption model.
