Dioxygen addition to five-coordinate osmium(II) complexes. X-Ray crystal structure of [OsH(η2-O2)(dcpe)2]bph4[dcpe = 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane]

Abstract

The five-coordinate osmium(II) cations [OsX(dcpe)2]+[X = H or Cl; dcpe = 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane] react with dioxygen in 1 : 1 molar ratio giving the stable peroxo complexes trans-[OsX(O2)(dcpe)2]+.
