Faraday communications. Muonium addition to an imidazole ring

Abstract

Exposure of 1-methylimidazole to spin-polarised positive muons leads to the radical VI in contrast with the alternative structure I that was observed following X-irradiation of a single crystal of imidazole. [graphic omitted]
