Determination of low relative molecular mass alcohols in gasoline by gas chromatography
Abstract
A field test using extraction of gasoline with ethylene glycol to determine alcohols in gasoline has been evaluated. The field test provides selective extraction of the alcohols from other gasoline components. The alcohol additives in the ethylene glycol extract are identified and determined by a simple and rapid capillary gas chromatographic method.
