Platinum-dispersed Nafion-modified glassy carbon electrode for the determination of hydrogen peroxide in a flow injection system

Abstract

A modified electrode has been prepared by electrodeposition of Pt particles into Nafion-coated glassy carbon (GC). The electrochemical properties of the Pt-Nafion-GC electrode were compared with those of Pt, GC and Pt-modified GC electrodes. The Pt-Nafion-GC electrode showed good stability and was used for the determination of hydrogen peroxide. An application of this electrode to flow injection analysis-electrochemical detection is also described.
