The reactions of ArP(Li)(SiMe3)(Ar = 2,4,6-But3C6H2) with (η5-C5H5)2ZrCl2 and (η5-C5H4Me)2WCl2 afford (η5-C5H5)2Zr(Cl)P(SiMe3)(Ar) and two isomers of composition (η5-C5H4Me)[graphic omitted]Ar)], respectively, the structures of which have been determined.
