Thermochemical investigation of NaI–glycerol–glycol (ethanediol, propane-1,2-diol, propane-1,3-diol) systems at 313.15 K

Abstract

Enthalpies of solution of NaI in glycerol–ethanediol, glycerol–propane-1,2-diol and glycerol–propane-1,3-diol mixtures have been measured at 313.15 K. The variation of the standard enthalpy of solution ΔH in relation to the content of glycols in the mixtures is discussed. The enthalpic pair interaction coefficients hEN for NaI-glycols in glycerol and NaI-glycerol in glycols vary linearly with the reciprocal electric permittivities of the glycols.
