Nickel(II)-cyclam: an extremely selective electrocatalyst for reduction of CO2 in water

Abstract

Co2is electroreduced efficiently to CO on a mercury cathode, in the presence [NiII(Cyclam)]2+; even in pure water, the selectivity for reduction of CO2vs. that of H2O is huge.
