Enthalpy of solution of Nai in glycerol + aliphatic alcohol mixtures at 313.15 K

Abstract

Enthalpies of solution of NaI in glycerol + methanol, glycerol + ethanol and glycerol + propan-1-ol mixtures have been measured in the entire range of mixed solvent concentrations at 313.15 K. The variation of the standard enthalpy of solution ΔH in relation to the content of glycerol in the solvent is discussed. A linear correlation is observed between the values of pair interaction coefficients hxy and the reciprocal of the electric permittivity of the alcohols.
