Theoretical evaluation of the velocity of sound in liquid mercury at elevated pressures
Abstract
An attempt has been made to evaluate the velocity of sound in liquid mercury over a wide range of temperatures and pressures in the light of Flory's statistical theory. The agreement between theoretical and experimental values is satisfactory.
