Dehydration sequence of cobalt exchanged synthetic A zeolite: evidence for 3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-fold co-ordination
Abstract
For exchanged Na-A° synthetic zeolites with cobalt contents of 1–5 atoms per unit cell the dehydration sequence is shown to be Co2+(H2O)6 [graphic omitted] Co2+(H2O)4(tetrahedral) [graphic omitted] Co2+(Ox)3·(H2O)2(trigonal bipyramid) [graphic omitted] Co2+(Ox)3(trigonal)(Ox refers to oxygen atoms in the 6-rings of the zeolite).
