Structure of gaseous C2H4O2+· ions formed by McLafferty rearrangement from aliphatic acids
Abstract
Collisional activation spectra and deuterium labelling show that the C2H4O2+· ion formed by McLafferty rearrangement in aliphatic acids does not isomerise to the acetic acid molecular ion.
