The ready syntheses of 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzoyl-1-Se-dimethylstibino-1-seleno-, 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-1-Se-dimethylstibino-1-seleno-, 1-Se-dimethylstibino-1-seleno-, 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-1-S-dimethylstibino-1-thio-, and 1-S-dimethylstibino-1-thio-β-D-glucopyranose are described. N.m.r., i.r., and mass spectral properties of the compounds are reported.
