Semiconductivity in organic substances. Part 16.—Ionic impurity scattering centres in 4 4′-bipyridyl–(tetracyanoquinodimethane)2

Abstract

Conduction and thermoelectric power measurements are reported for polycrystalline sample of 4,4′-bipyridyl–(tetracyanoquinodimethane)2. The data are interpreted in terms of band theory with ionic impurity scattering of carriers, resulting in a positive temperature dependence of both mobility and pre-exponential factor for conductivity.
